    Deine Rolle im Team

    • As a Data Engineer (IoT & Smart Buildings), you will enable advanced analytics that make buildings smarter, more energy-efficient, and sustainable.
    • Working with complex IoT data, you will build the foundation for data-driven solutions that reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs.
    • Build and maintain data products and supporting data infrastructure at scale in AWS.
    • Build data pipelines using AWS technology stack and connect data silos within applications.
    • Support the automation and deployment of AI/ML workflows.
    • Define data ingestion, formats/schemas, metadata/catalog integrations, federated access, and data-product creation.
    • Enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, and data-driven use cases by defining efficient data-access patterns and tooling (e.g. for LLM context engineering).

    Unsere Erwartungen an dich

    Ausbildung

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.

    Qualifikationen

    • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
    • Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), complex SQL queries and their performance across large, distributed databases.
    • REST API usage, definition, and implementation.
    • Clear communication skills and ability to define technical requirements.
    • Working knowledge of different database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.).

    Erfahrung

    • 3+ years of experience working with data at scale.
    • Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ideally CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) and cloud-native technologies in AWS (e.g. Lambda, Athena, Glue, SageMaker, S3, etc.).
    • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
    • Experience with Apache Spark (ideally PySpark).
    • Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
    • Solid experience in collaborating with Data Scientists and Machine Learning engineers.
    • Interest and/or hands-on experience in MLOPs and AI product lifecycle.
    • Domain experience with (or strong willingness to learn about) IoT and timeseries data, building automation systems, digital twins, or other smart buildings-related technologies.
