- We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) to bring deep software engineering expertise, influence technical direction, and help us build the next generation of our platform.
- Every day, our cloud services handle high volumes of transactions and must remain fast, reliable, and available around the clock.
- You'll play an important role in shaping how our platform evolves.
- You'll contribute ideas, influence architectural decisions, and help solve complex challenges around scalability, performance, and reliability.

- Technical Authority: Help shape architecture and design decisions for our Java-based cloud services, setting the standard for quality, performance, and reliability across the platform.
- Specification-Driven Development (SDD): Turn requirements into clear, testable specifications that guide design, implementation, and verification from the very start.
- Feature Ownership: Own the end-to-end design and implementation of complex, cross-cutting features in our cloud services, building in scalability and robustness from day one.
- Performance & Scalability: Drive performance and reliability initiatives so that our cloud services scale for customers around the globe.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with architects, developers, QA, product owners, and hosting teams to align design decisions and deliver robust, high-impact solutions.
- Engineering Excellence: Raise the technical bar through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of best practices such as SDD, TDD, CI/CD, and modern development approaches.
Unsere Erwartungen an dich
Qualifikationen
- Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, object lifecycle management, parallelism, dependency injection, database transactions, and distributed systems concepts.
- Fluent English, spoken and written; German is a plus.
Erfahrung
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record in cloud-based systems and complex distributed services.
- Experience designing scalable, high-availability applications, with strong knowledge of database transactions, queuing concepts, and software build and release processes.
- Hands-on experience with Specification-Driven Development (SDD) and modern software delivery practices, including TDD and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker), cloud infrastructure, and agile development environments, ideally in an expert, principal, or technical-lead capacity.

- The minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement is EUR 2,535.00 gross per month on a full-time basis.
- Your actual salary will be set in line with the market, based on your qualifications.
