- In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. As a Software Support and QA Engineer at Lam, you will be at the forefront of innovation by troubleshooting and debugging software programs. Your role is pivotal in developing software tools that support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. Your expertise will determine hardware compatibility and influence design, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware.
- In this role, you'll make an impact across Lam's entire product portfolio of equipment working within our centralized software engineering team, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
- Be involved in all phases of the software development (SW) lifecycle, including the testing, analysis and maintenance of the software system.
- Participate in the SW deployment process ensuring qualified Software Products are successfully installed at our customer's facilities.
- Perform troubleshooting of system software related issues.
- Perform in-house & onsite support of customer install base and resolution of customer issues.
- Setup and maintain tool simulators, testing environments, lab support to reproduce issues found in field and verify SW solutions.
- Understand customer technology & productivity needs and feedback those requirements into software development.
- Prepare presentations to Lam internal stakeholders and customers travel worldwide wherever semiconductor customers are located (up to 25% travel).
Unsere Erwartungen an dich
Ausbildung
- Technical education in Soft- and Hardware -minimum HTL /technical high school - electrical engineering, software engineering or similar.
Qualifikationen
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to establish successful relationships in a multicultural environment with external and internal customers.

- This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry (in the occupation group E depending on educational background.
- Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
