Deine Rolle im Team
- As an Operations Technician, you'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster).
- You'll also take on the configuration of more complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols.
- You'll participate in or lead small project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans.
- A typical day involves manual movement and installation of racks, and while it can sometimes be physically demanding, you are excited to work with infrastructure that is at the cutting-edge of computer technology.
- Responsibilities include contributing to and leading efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of Google Cloud region (e.g., cloud data center) infrastructure.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
- Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs.
- Configure and troubleshoot Operating System (OS) related issues on the server.
- Resolve technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process) using different tools until final resolution, communicating with different stakeholders.
- Work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Ausbildung
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Qualifikationen
- Ability to collaborate and partner with teams to resolve issues.
- Ability to communicate in German fluently to engage in day-to-day operations, and with colleagues.
Erfahrung
- Experience with computer hardware and server hardware or troubleshooting/diagnosing.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
- Experience in project management and leadership, and collaborating and partnering with teams.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in working within a data center or network operation center environment.
- Experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
Unser Angebot
- Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- Austria: €74000 - €76000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
