Deine Rolle im Team
- As a Software Engineer in Trade Services, your mission is to build and scale the engine room of Bitpanda.
- You will own the core execution of every single trade, forging the high-throughput, financially critical backbone of our ecosystem.
- Building the core engine requires designing and developing scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java to handle offers, trade requests, and money movement.
- Ensuring quality involves writing clean and future-proof code with 80%+ unit test coverage, conducting thorough end-to-end and integration testing before deploying into an event-driven microservices architecture.
- Optimizing execution flows for core trading modules-such as fee calculation, order execution, ledger writing, and wallet synchronization-guarantees total reliability, maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Driving innovation means researching and adopting the latest trends and technologies in backend development to ensure our core trading and ledger applications remain cutting-edge.

Qualifikationen
- Deep knowledge and hands on track record using message-oriented middleware; as we're working with event driven microservices (ideally Apache Kafka or ZeroMQ).
Erfahrung
- Knowledge and experience of software development using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, with Java as your main programming language.
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (bonus points for experience with Postgres and MongoDB).
- Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs with a keen understanding of performance optimisation and scalability.
- Understanding of CI/CD: familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes is ideal but any public cloud experience is fine.
