    Deine Rolle im Team

    • The Enterprise ICT Policy Expert will lead the writing of a new UNIDO Digital & IT Policy that is fit for UNIDO's capabilities and needs.
    • Lead policy review and gap analysis, assessing the current ICT policy against audit findings, UN system standing policies, and international best practices to identify areas for modernization and compliance improvement.
    • Draft and consolidate normative instruments, including the overarching Digital & IT policy (DGB) and associated Administrative Instructions (AIs), ensuring clarity, enforceability, and alignment with other standing policies.
    • Develop Digital & IT governance standards, covering domains such as identity and access management, endpoint security, network and remote access, email and collaboration, and information management.
    • Coordinate stakeholder consultations, engaging internal units and external partners to validate policy drafts, incorporate feedback, and get buy-in from senior management and governance bodies.
    • Establish policy governance mechanisms, including exception handling processes, risk acceptance workflows, and review cycles, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Ensure audit and regulatory compliance, embedding relevant controls and reporting mechanisms into the policy framework to address oversight requirements and mitigate organizational risk.
    • Prepare implementation guidance and communication materials, including staff-facing summaries, training modules, and awareness campaigns to promote adoption and compliance.

    Unsere Erwartungen an dich

    Ausbildung

    • An advanced university degree (master's or equivalent) in information technology, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field is required.
    • A degree in business administration, public administration, or economics with a strong focus on ICT governance may be considered.

    Qualifikationen

    • Demonstrated knowledge of leading ICT governance and service management frameworks, such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 38500, is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with UN system administrative issuances, audit processes, and compliance requirements is desirable.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
    • Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is desirable.

    Erfahrung

    • At least seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in ICT governance, policy development, IT coordination, or change management is required.
    • Proven experience in drafting and implementing enterprise-level Digital & IT policies, preferably within a United Nations organization or an international/multicultural environment, is required.
    • Experience in stakeholder consultation, risk management, and policy harmonization across multiple organizational units is an asset.
