Job Zusammenfassung
In dieser Position entwickelst du maßgeschneiderte Produktassurancestrategien für QKD-Systeme, führst Risikoanalysen durch, leitest Qualitätssicherungsaktivitäten und dokumentierst alle Prozesse über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus.
Deine Rolle im Team
- As product assurance (PA) engineer, you are supporting projects and other activities aimed to realize successful QKD systems by ensuring that the materials, mechanical parts, processes, software, and electrical components used are fit for purpose over the entire life of a mission.
- You will be part of engineering teams to help fail-proofing our designs and align development activities with relevant requirements.
- Within the role, you will help guide the team through the challenges of procurement and MAIT phases.
- Define and implement a tailored PA strategy for space technology maturation programs, ensuring alignment with ECSS standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Derive, tailor, and manage PA, MMPP, and EEE requirements, ensuring traceability to system-level objectives and regulatory frameworks.
- Lead PA activities across the product lifecycle from concept design to early testing, including the definition of quality gates and key assurance milestones and participation in validation & verification activities.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and non-conformance reviews to ensure quality risks are captured early and properly mitigated.
- Conduct audits, inspections, failure investigations, and reviews to ensure both internal and external quality requirements are met.
- Support the definition and application of quality assurance processes for hardware components (EEE, MMPP), including procurement, assembly, inspection, and verification.
- Prepare and maintain PA documentation: PA plans, compliance matrices, verification plans, procedures and processes, NCRs, risk registers, and lessons learned.

Ausbildung
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, industrialization engineering or a related field.
Qualifikationen
- Solid knowledge of ECSS and other aerospace industry PA standards.
- Knowledge of QM standards, e.g., ISO9001 or DIN EN 9100, is a plus.
- Technical background in one or more PA disciplines – RAMS, MMPP, EEE, Software.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage with customers, suppliers, space agencies, and internal teams.
- Comfortable taking on responsibility and ownership.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
Erfahrung
- 3–5+ years of experience in Product Assurance and/or Quality Assurance ideally in the space or aerospace sector.
- Experience with processes and requirements and in managing quality aspects of technology demonstrator programs.
- Experience auditing or qualifying suppliers in the space or high-reliability industry.

- The minimum gross salary for this position is € 3.284,86 per month (based on full-time employment) in accordance with the collective agreement.
- However, there is a willingness to offer a higher salary depending on experience and qualifications.
