Job Zusammenfassung
In dieser Position analysierst du nukleare Materialberichte, identifizierst Diskrepanzen und unterstützt die Entwicklung von Datenanalysetools zur Optimierung der Berichterstattung über nukleare Sicherheit.
Deine Rolle im Team
- Reporting to the Section Head, the Associate Safeguards Information Analyst (State Declarations) supports essential information collection, processing, analysis and dissemination services with respect to the nuclear material accounting and additional protocol information provided by States.
- Acquire knowledge and understanding of the work of the Declared Information Analysis Section by undertaking analysis of nuclear material accounting reports and Additional Protocol submissions for assigned States.
- Collect, compile and analyse data and information in State reports and declarations to identify discrepancies or areas for follow-up actions.
- Analyse and reconcile analysis results with other related information to identify technical issues, information gaps, and areas for process improvement.
- Assist in the design, development and testing of new data and information collection, analysis and reporting methods, particularly for the transfer of analytical findings from the Declared Information Analysis Section to the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Analysis Section.
- Provide suggestions to improve databases and software usage, particularly to optimize material balance evaluations.
- Draft guidance material related to identified process improvements and promote knowledge sharing.
- Keep up to date on developments and current issues concerning international safeguards as they relate to State reporting and declarations.
Unsere Erwartungen an dich
Ausbildung
- Bachelor's degree in sciences (e.g. physics, chemistry), nuclear science, nuclear engineering, or a related field.
Qualifikationen
- Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
Erfahrung
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the area of nuclear material accounting, nuclear safeguards activities, nuclear research and/or nuclear non-proliferation, including information collection, processing and analytical techniques.
- Experience in processing and analysing information using complex databases an asset.

- The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $56046 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 30377, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses.
