Deine Rolle im Team
- Your Mission: Take charge of complex energy projects. Your leadership will define strategy, execution, and client success.
- As an Analyst/Consultant you will work on assignments in our energy management consulting business as a valuable team member in our market reporting, analysis and modelling practice.
- Developing and applying AFRY's proprietary BID3 power market models and analytical tools, to analyse European electricity markets and support strategic decision-making.
- Supporting or leading power market modelling projects as well as preparing reports, presentations and proposals for clients across the energy sector.
- Researching latest energy market developments, policy changes and market design evolutions in order to undertake market analysis, forecasting and modelling exercises.
- Working on projects assessing the economics and commercial viability of generation assets, renewable energy projects and flexibility technologies (Batteries, Pumped Storage, Hydrogen, Demand-Side Flexibility, etc.).
- In doing so, you will gain and strengthen your in-depth knowledge of the European Energy Industry and be at the forefront of the currently ongoing transformation, driven by climate policy discussions and further market liberalisation.
- You will be continuously supported and receive direct feedback from one of our experienced consultants in order to grow your very own career path.
- Moreover, you can further establish and continue growing your network within the Energy Industry.
- As a Market Modeller, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the energy transition by supporting private and public organisations in making challenging yet fair and sustainable investment decisions with your quantitative market modelling expertise in particular.
- Relevant experience of working with market models is required, while AFRY will also provide training and competence development opportunities thereon.
Unsere Erwartungen an dich
Ausbildung
- Graduate with a university degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Mathematics / Statistics / Econometrics, Technical Engineering, or other related fields.
Qualifikationen
- Self-initiative, focus on the goal with an eye on the consequences and a readiness to proactively support.
- Advanced written and oral communication / presentation skills English (mandatory).
- Ability to work quantitatively with large datasets, develop analytical insights and communicate modelling outcomes effectively.
- Additional Eastern European language skills (e.g. Bulgarian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Serbian/Croatian) are a clear advantage, and German knowledge would be very relevant in our business.
- Very good command of the MS office package, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Erfahrung
- We are looking to enlarge our multi-disciplinary team with experienced professionals with real passion and curiosity for the energy transition.
- The ideal candidate will be or have experience as follows:
- A plus if you have a solid understanding of European power markets and the fundamentals of electricity market modelling or even experience with power market models (e.g. BID3, PLEXOS, Aurora or similar).
