Cloud Engineer

This role at Jumio owns end to end solutions supporting cost efficiency and governance in operations. The role collaborates with a friendly and supportive global team, including working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Testing and Development teams.

1. Maintain and help us to evolve efficient operation of our cloud workloads
2. Create visibility for the teams if their services run efficiently
3. Work on reports for management and decision makers in terms of cost
4. Help with cost governance on a constant basis
5. Exploit saving mechanisms of cloud providers (Savings plans, reserved instances)
6. help teams balance cost, reliability and performance
7. Have an idea what different parts of the company have on their roadmap and consult on cost predictions
8. Develop a common understanding of the techstack in relation to cost and efficiency
9. Inspect our Java and Python-based applications in test, staging, and production environments
10. Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
11. Have a direct impact on Jumio's business by identifying innovative solutions to operational challenges
